I have never been a big fan of these quotes; they rather confuse me every time I hear one.
It seems 'Quotes' have a big time issue of communication gap. They don't sync up with each other quite often. For example, the other day I met a quote - "All good things come to those who wait". But by evening, I happened to notice another quote roaming around - "Time and tide wait for none".
Now tell me, if - "Then pen is mightier than sword", then why does "Actions speak louder than words"? Just because these 2 quotes never spoke to each other and are creating confusions, which one to be followed!!!
Similarly, once my boss called me to room to talk about a new Project that our MD had allocated to our team. The deadlines were too tight. I took the download and I spoke about timelines, I said - "Slow and steady wine the race". But who knew my boss will introduce me to another quote - "Time waits for none".
The meet didn't just end there. I remembered another quote and said - "When in doubt, ask!". But in this, I got reply - "you can judge one by the questions one ask!". Now, did I want to get judged!!?"
